Aims for 2013
The chairman outlined these as
Attracting New Members
The chairman underlined the fact that new clubs and individuals would be most welcome to join the association which he felt is now on a very solid footing and an integral part of the life of the three villages.
A Logo for the Association
Paul Rodgers has kindly designed a number of logos for the association and a democratic vote was taken as to the most popular. The logo will now be used on posters, letterheads and advertising material. Nigel Bailey offered to help with these projects. The chairman will contact Paul to thank him for all his work and ask for a copy of the “winning logo”.
2013 Health Packs
With so much going on in 2012 this project was put on the back burner. South Norfolk still has 800 folders and it was agreed to regenerate this idea with a view to giving out the packs at the come and try evening and during Open Weekend.
Any Other Business
Peter Hoult informed the meeting that there is a new interest in retired players coming back to the Badminton club and forming a peer group and wondered whether there was any mileage in other clubs offering “gentle variation” for their retirees.
Claire and Bobby from Respect Yourself advertised their New Year’s Eve Party which will take place in Hethersett Village Hall. They also appealed for sport and fitness related messages to use for their SMS text messages. They were given numerous messages by Colin McDermott.
Leslie Dale promoted the coming village Christmas Fair to be held in Hethersett Methodist Church on November 30th and also next year’s open gardens event in July.
Thanks were expressed to Richard Bond and Park Farm Hotel for supplying a meeting room for the association.
